Objectives :

The challenge to hospitality educators to meet the human resources development needs of the industry has become a vital issue. This course aims to meet the industry's need for competent hospitality managers. It focuses on the development of the technical and management skills required to generate integrated solutions to business problems in a wide range of operations. This program is designed to meet following objectives.
›  to keep themselves abreast with the changing hospitality trends and latest
   technology
›  to equip students with a high degree of academic knowledge and skills to meet
   the human resource needs of the industry
›  to emphasis on practical inputs
›  specification in any one core hotel operational area such as housekeeping, front office, food and beverage services or production

Eligibility : 10+2 or equivalent / 3 year diploma from state board for technical education.
Min Duration : 3 years (6 semesters).
Max Duration : 6 years.

Provision for Lateral Entry to second semester of BScHT (First level):

Eligibility:

Successful completion of 10+2 and six months diploma course in Hotel Management from a reputed institution.
Additional fees: addition to the normal fees, an additional Lateral Entry Fee (including examination fee) is payable by students opting for this scheme.
Note: In this Lateral Entry Scheme, students will have to appear and pass the first semester examination. Books and assignments of first semester will be supplied to them and they will have to submit assignments by its due date.
